- The total surface of the harbor is of 334,464.470 m2, out of which 73.967 m2 as free zone.
- The access to the port can be done by roads, by railways and waterway .
- Access roads which enable frequent transit and the transit of large-sized goods
- Railway lines, with a total length of 6.474 m, out of which
- 1.717 m railways for reception/ dispatch
- 4.257 m fronts for loading/ discharging
- - 500 m of “wide ”gauge rails for loading / discharging of the C.I.S. wagons.
- The wagons shunting entering and delivery of the wagons into the harbor is made only with proper locomotive and shifter.
- Waterway
- with barges, river vessels, sea boats of maximum 15.000 dwt (the capacity and draft of the boats accepted for operation is in direct correlation with the draft allowed at Bara Sulina)
- operating facilities in eight 110m long berths each on the bank of the Danube (out of which 3 are free trade areas) and two 105 m long berths each in the basin of the harbor.
